   Hi.

   Thanks for this. Not being a scripter this makes my life a bit easier. My only issue is I’m having Hazel call the mvep.sh script and it is failing and I don’t know where. I just get a growl report saying there is an error in the script. I’ve entered the path to mvep.py in mvep.sh and I know the path works to mvep.py as I can use this from the terminal so there is some problem in the interaction between Hazel and the shell script. Any ideas?

   I’m not sure what would cause this… perhaps I’m mistaken in how Hazel passes files to the script as arguments, but when I wrote the script initially it worked fine for me. I’m working on an entirely different automation setup right now, which will make life even easier for dealing with episodes, so I don’t use this right now.

   For some reason when I run the script myself (haven’t ran it with Hazel yet), it doesn’t work. I do something like this and get this output: ./mvep.sh /Volumes/Media/Television/Battlestar.Galactica.S04E07.Guess.Whats.Coming.to.Dinner.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi
   Creating /volumes/media/television/battlestar.galactica
   Creating /volumes/media/television/battlestar.galactica/season.4
   /Volumes/Media/Television/Battlestar.Galactica.S04E07.Guess.Whats.Coming.to.Dinner.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi already exists in /volumes/media/television/battlestar.galactica/season.4
   phillip-crumms-computer:Media p3net$ ./mvep.sh /Volumes/Media/Television/Battlestar.Galactica.S04E07.Guess.Whats.Coming.to.Dinner.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi
   /Volumes/Media/Television/Battlestar.Galactica.S04E07.Guess.Whats.Coming.to.Dinner.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi already exists in /volumes/media/television/battlestar.galactica/season.4
   When I check the folder it says the file exists in, it’s quite empty. Any suggestions?

   Roswell, I updated the script attached to this post with some fixes for this issue. Before the script wouldn’t work on files that have an absolute path specified. The updated script can hand this, so please download the script again and let me know if you have anymore issues.

   Sorry to bug you again, but I’m getting the same issue as Andrew when attempting to automate the process via Hazel. Should I just hang tight or…?

   Roswell and Andrew, I’ve figured out the issue with the shell script. It tries to run mvep.py, but it doesn’t know where it is, so either copy it into a directory that is in your PATH environment variable OR modify the shell script and specify the absolute path to myep.py, which for example could be /Users/brian/scripts/mvep.py. Hope this helps.
